Hook and loop fasteners are used across a wide range of textile applications, from tactical gear to commercial products. While often referred to generically as “velcro,” not all hook and loop solutions are the same.

What Is Hook and Loop?
Hook and loop is a two-part fastening system made up of:

A hook side with small, rigid hooks

A loop side with soft, flexible fibers
When pressed together, the hooks engage with the loops to create a secure closure that can be opened and closed repeatedly.
