Q. What is the lead time for custom produced fabric?
It depends on the base fabric and what needs to be done to the fabric, i.e. dyeing and finishing only or additional printing and/or custom put up all come into play. Typically we will run about 3 to 4 weeks on standard items and as long as 8 to 10 weeks on items that are not as typical. For imported fabrics, the lead time tends to be 10 to 12 weeks.
Q. Are we able to spread out shipments on custom fabrics?
Yes, we will produce and hold fabric for our customers up to 90 days after goods are ready to ship. We will need to know this in advance, however, as we will need to quote accordingly to allow for this.
Q. Can you dye to match Pantone Shades?
Yes. Our dye houses can dye to match any color required, on custom dye lot runs.
Q. Can you offer a less expensive alternative to what I am currently using?
Depending on the end product, we are more than happy to discuss alternative fabrics that you may want to consider. It is probably best that you call us to discuss.
Q. If I do not know the exact material that I am looking for, can MMI help?
If you have a small sample or spec sheet, we can figure out the exact product you want. It also helps to understand your intended use.

 NDW Textiles, formerly known as National Dye Works, has over 70 years of experience in the dyeing and finishing industry for woven cotton, nylon and polyester fabrics. While our factory has been closed since 2000, we have maintained our solid position as an industry leader for industrial woven fabrics as a converter. We now outsource all of our dyeing and finishing to several USA plants that have a solid reputation for quality and on-time performance. Our woven fabric (greige goods, before dyeing) come from the largest mills in the world and most of them are ISO 9000 certified.

COMMERCIAL
Please click on our Fabric Division and navigate through the various products that we offer to the industrial sewing industry – special finishes include water repellency, fire retardants, infra-red dummying, anti-microbial/anti-bacterial, mildew resistance, preshrunk, UV inhibitors, anti-static, calendaring, brushing/sueding, silicone and urethane coating, and PTFE/specialty coatings for RF welding and air holding.
GOVERNMENT
There are way too many specifications to list below that we are capable of providing so please call or email us with your military specification, including type and class and we will advise right away if we are able to quote. We provide fabrics for contracts made out of 100% cotton, polyester, nylon and blends. Many times we will have specials available on military spec fabrics – see our Closeouts section for an update on available fabrics at a discounted price.
We are proud to support our military in all facets (Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force), as well as our Correctional Facilities, Forestry Service and US Postal Service – many of our fabrics are used in building uniforms and accessories for government employees and services.
